東京藝術大学大学院映像研究科はサムスン電子ジャパン株式会社の協力のもとに、スマートフォン、デジカメなどの小型化、多機能、高性能の時代の映像を考えるGALAXY Lab.を、2013年4月にたちあげました。このたび、GALAXY Lab.でおこなってきたさまざまな実験とそこから生じた映像文化への問いかけを、ショート・プレゼンテーション、展示、上映を通して公開します。

In April 2013 the Graduate School of Film and New Media, Tokyo University of the Arts with assistance from Samsung Electronics Japan Co., Ltd., launched the GALAXY Lab. Initiative to consider moving image media developments in an era of increasingly compact, multi-functional, high-performance smartphones, digital cameras and so on. Orality in the Moving Image will offer for public viewing a variety of experiments conducted by GALAXY Lab. and questions for film and new media culture emerging from these experiments, via short presentations, exhibition and screenings.
