現代を映す新たな怪獣 アート 「MONSTER Exhibition 2025」
MONSTER Exhibitionは、13回目を迎えました。比類のない作品を集積するMONSTER Exhibitionは、子供から大人まで多くの人が楽しめる企画展を実現します。
日本独自のコンテクストを持ち合わせる”Kaiju”（MONSTER）は、アーティストを魅了し、想像力をかき立てます。”Kaiju” （MONSTER）の解釈は、アーティストに委ねています。その想像力の表現方法は、映像、絵画、造形、グラフィック、建築とジャンルを問うことはありません。
クリチャーを追求する、自分の中に潜む感情の表象、社会問題の顕在化、自然災害への警鐘など、今年も、公募で選ばれたアーティストが新しい”Kaiju” （MONSTER）を展示します。
MONSTER Exhibitionは、”Kaiju”（MONSTER）をテーマとしたアートプロジェクトです。
日本では、山や海、風、草木、家、あらゆるものに神がいると信じる一方で、自然やすべてのものに対しても恐ろしい存在を感じ、”Kaiju”（MONSTER）を生み出しました。MONSTER Exhibitionは3.11をきっかけにはじまり、何もかもを呑みこんだ津波をメタファーに”Kaiju”（MONSTER）をテーマとしています。
現在では、3.11以降に大規模な自然災害が国内外で続いたこともあり、テーマとチャリティを継承し、新しいアートプロジェクトとして活動しています。
Now in its 13th year, MONSTER Exhibition presents new works exploring the pursuit of creatures, hidden emotions, social issues, and warnings about natural disasters. The exhibition invites you to encounter unique interpretations of “Kaiju” (MONSTER), expressed through video, painting, sculpture, graphic art, and architecture.
Rooted in the Japanese belief that gods inhabit every aspect of nature—and in the sense of awe and fear it inspires—the concept of “Kaiju” (MONSTER) has long captivated artists and sparked boundless imagination.
The project began in response to the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake and tsunami, using the overwhelming force of the tsunami as a metaphor for “Kaiju.” As large-scale natural disasters continue to affect the world, MONSTER Exhibition carries forward its theme and charitable mission, evolving into a vibrant and ever-expanding art project.
